Using IglesiaConnect

IglesiaConnect is the church platform at iglesiaconnect.com and app.iglesiaconnect.com, including the iOS app and optional ChatGPT connection. By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you accept these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use the member app. Public pages such as the live-translate listener may still be used without an account, subject to the same acceptable-use rules.

The service is developed and technically operated by YCY Consulting and Investment SL, Spain. Identification details are in the Legal Notice.

Each church uses a separate tenant. Pastors and church administrators manage people, ministries, bookings, and permissions inside their own tenant. Creating an account at one church does not give you access to another church.

• Eligibility — You must be at least 14 years old, or have a parent or guardian create and supervise the account, in line with Spanish data protection rules for minors.
• What you provide — Name and phone number are required. Email and a passkey are optional. You choose your own password (at least 8 characters). You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you submit.
• One account per church — An IglesiaConnect login is tied to one church tenant. The same email, phone, or name may be used to register in another church. Those are separate accounts. You can add another church later from your profile.
• Passkeys — If you set a passkey, your device stores the biometric or lock screen secret. We only store the public credential bound to that church account. Anyone who can unlock your device may be able to sign in as you.
• Security — Keep your password and devices under your control. Tell support@iglesiaconnect.com if you think someone else used your account.

You agree to use IglesiaConnect only for church life:

• do not impersonate another member, pastor, or church, and do not register with details that are not yours;
• do not share pastoral, visitation, counselling, or minor-related records outside the people who are supposed to see them;
• do not record, upload, or publish audio or photos of other people without a lawful basis and the church's rules;
• do not attempt to access another church's tenant, bypass permissions, probe the service, or overload it;
• do not use the service for advertising, spam, or any unlawful purpose.

Sermons, schedules, devotionals, gallery images, and other ministry materials belong to the church that publishes them, or to their rights holders. IglesiaConnect does not claim ownership of church content.

You keep the rights in content you upload (for example a choir practice take or a profile photo). You grant us and your church a limited licence to store and display that content so the feature you used can work.

Microphone access is used only after you tap to host a live translation or to submit a choir practice recording. Listeners who scan a QR code hear translated audio and are not recorded by that page.

Your church's leaders may review practice recordings according to the privacy settings of that tenant. Live-translate session hosts and authorised operators may retain source audio to deliver and improve the translation, as described in the Privacy Policy.

We work to keep IglesiaConnect available and secure. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free features, or that a particular ministry workflow will fit every church. Scheduled maintenance or incidents may cause downtime.

Member accounts for participating churches are currently provided without a paid subscription. Optional paid services, if introduced, will be described separately before they are charged.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Spanish law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to that, YCY Consulting and Investment SL is not liable for decisions your church makes with the data in its tenant, for content published by a church, or for loss caused by your device, your passkey, or a third-party service you connect (such as ChatGPT or Google). If liability cannot otherwise be limited, it is capped at the amount you paid us for IglesiaConnect in the twelve months before the claim (often zero for members).

You may delete your account from Profile in the app. A church administrator may disable an account that no longer belongs in that congregation. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

After deletion, personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Unless a mandatory consumer rule gives you another forum, the courts of Madrid have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the rights of your place of residence in the EU.

We may update these terms when the product changes. The effective date at the top of this page will change. For material changes we will also notify active users by email or in the app. Continued use after that notice means you accept the updated terms.
